This is NOT another discussion thread like the other one. I want your opinion. There is a proposal on the table to modify the number of GLP and GLR plays both offense and defense.
Proposal: Require a minimum of three (3) GLP and three (3) GLR offensive plays, and reduce the required number of GLP & GLR defenses from four (4) to three (3) each.
All I want to see here is a "YES" for in favor or a "NO" against.

Re: GLP & GLR Opinions
Yes.
Teams are now using GLP and GLR in the same situations as RL and PS. This is not inside the 5 yard line, but all yardages. The play calls increased for PG by @ 66% the past season and RG @35% . Only having two play calls has allowed the ability to isolate a single 100% successful play in multiple instances. If the play category can and is called in the same circumstances, they should have the same minimum amounts. There is no reason to use RL or PS in the same situations. The PNFL has always been different than all the other sim leagues I have played in. Those had teams call only a couple of plays on offense and defense with no ability to react in game as sim leagues. I won a ton in those leagues, but do not want to emulate that capability or style in the PNFL. We did the same for PRZ when the play calls increased dramatically. I do not want to play in a league like that ever again. It is what makes this league more difficult and more fun.
The minimums established exist to have somewhat varied plans and not allow teams to call the same play over and over. This was not a problem in the past as teams mostly only used the GL plays for their named situations. That begin the change and evolved a lot last season. i would expect it to grow even more as the PNFL just like our name sake NFL is a copy cat league. Setting a profile to 83% means a play will have a 41.5% chance of being called with a minimum of two. The 100% successful timed pass play can be called 41.5% of the time. Some say, well build a defense to stop it. OK, I have to build 4 different plays in the same category to stop it. Oh and the same D play has to consider defending the whole field to the goal line since PM and PLR can be called as well. All the original proposal was doing is having the GL plays match the minimum for the other situational calls such as RL, RR, PLR, and PRZ have the same minimum. It is also a discretionary category.
The proposal would have zero affect on play calls and only match and balance the minimum play calls while maintaining the on going spirit of the PNFL rules

Re: GLP & GLR Opinions
I say NO to this and instead limit GLR/GLP to inside the 5 and 3rd and 1, 4th and 1 downs.
