Random Pot nerf/Boost

Postby James-Eagles » Mon Feb 08, 2021 3:31 pm

I like to see a little risk to the draft. I think what makes the difference for me is the randomness is known in advance.
Randomly generate a number 1-100 for each player
Then have 5 tiers for each player
1.Low risk 80% chance of remaining the same 10% boost 10% drop 96-100 +2 ,91-95 +1,01-05 -2, 06-10, -1
2. Medium risk 60% chance of remaining the same 96-100 +3, 91-95 +2,81-90 +1, 01-05 -3,06-10 -2, 11-20 -1
3. High risk 40% chance of remaining the same 98-100 +4,91-97 +3, 81-90 +2,71-80 +1,01-03 -4, 04-10 -3, 11-20 -2, 21-30 -1
4. High bust chance 96-100 +2, 91-95 +1 , 01-03 -4, 04-10 -3, 11-20 -2, 21-30 -1

5. Late round picks 98-100 +4,91-97 +3, 81-90 +2,71-80 +1, 01-05 -2, 06-10, -1

Plus/negative added to all attributes but can't go over max.

This adds some randomness to the draft. We can have bust and break out players but you only have to take the risked you feel comfortable with.

THis means

Except you know what the odds instead of guessing. I think it is better than random boost.

Wow, this sounds amazing.
After every draft I get to edit 126 players!
Does anyone ever have an idea that makes it less work for me? :)

I figured if it was liked and accepted. I would or someone else would make a spreadsheet that automate it.
I am not about adding to your work load that much.

I will probably do it, but I want to discuss how many, which rounds, and what attributes.

Is this proposal going to be implemented by executive order or put up for vote among GMs?

This is easy, the only way to not make this more work than it's worth is to not do it.
