I propose we keep the aging and points system only and end tracking of salaries. Let's save Rich some effort. I get that the salaries are used mainly for setting a floor now, but if we were to restore the cap there is no way coaches like Justin and I could be loading up on these retiring players. I think this making things more interesting and allowing players to get younger talent for them they otherwise would not be able to get. These players actually have value now without the cap and are getting bid on and traded. Under the cap system, they would be sitting in Free Agency untouched because they would be too expensive and not worth the risk. As for the floor, do we really care that Detroit has 53 low salaried players desperate for many training camps? Let him run his team his way with his insane drafts and billions and billions of points.
Thoughts?

Edit because we can't edit ...

I thought he kept doing it because he felt like it. It does provide another source of relative player value.

Perhaps the point is to have the old guys in the FA pool so they can just .... disappear.

My Only Issue, is the Rookie PS players who dissaper.
Not sure of how many of the total.
But seems like if you cut a Rookie from the practice sqaud he will vanish.
This leads me to rethink the purpose of the Pratice Squad.

While I do not care if older players disappear, I will not let every rookie disappear.
If that happens again, like it did last year, some will return.

Is there (per the points page) a 400M cap? Only Chicago is above the cap at 409M. Detroit is super below at 108M - probably way below the floor even. Where are we on enforcing this if my proposal has been denied? Is it still purely cosmetic?
