Team Hate

Postby Jerry-Redskins » Wed Feb 08, 2023 4:28 pm

Some of you must hate your team. There's a lot of players moving. I can't see a plan with most of it. Also can't keep up with them all

We have 18 general managers in the league who all have their own ideas on how to put together the best roster of 53 players (as many as 63 with PS) to have a winning team. Since we all have different ideas on how to do that, we may think ours ideas are better and either not understand those of other GMs or think they are making bad moves. I personally would have traded Kyle Allen for the most value I could get for him once I decided that Kyle Allen is NOT playing on my team in 2042. I may not personally agree with some of the moves, and I know some do not agree with some of my moves. but I think we should assume that every GM is making the moves because they have a plan in place to assemble the bestroster they can. Team Hate? Not really, that's a bit too harsh isn't it?

Anyone want to discuss White Balloons and Tonya Harding?

Sure looks like you are not very fond of your players to me when you move @ 1/3rd of your roster to include a couple of the best players. People are free to do what they wish, but sure doesn't look like much love in the peach state. :P

Apparently, they are more interested in Tonya Harding and Balloons.

I thought you were, you asked about a distraction. I was just suggesting where you might find one.

The "1/3rd" of my roster are the five players listed below (about 10 percent actually):

QB Justin Fields brought in T Luke Goedeke (starter and upgraded position) and FIVE draft picks in rounds 4/5
CB Greedy Williams/CB Avery Williams CBs drafted in 1st and 5th rounds for a pair of 2nd rounds picks including the 21st overall in the 2042 draft
WR Malcolm Perry a role player I signed as FA, he goes to Las Vegas to fill a role there
G Austin Corbett a solid G but he was replaced by G Bunchy Stallings

I think I got solid value for all of them to fill other needs and also picked up 2 good TEs, another T, and upgrade in the backup QB position from Nathan Peterman. Justin Fields is insurance in Chicago should Sam Darnold get injured again. The two CBs will be in Seattle shutting down your passing game when you play the Seahawks this season. G Austin Corbett will likely start in NE. All of those players found a place and will play important role, they were dumped into the FA pool or sold off cheap in fire sale fashion.

There is plenty of love in the Peach state for the key players this team is built around. Try offering a trade for any of the key players on this team and find out about that love when you're told you'll have to pay The King's Ransom, as Eric Davis used to say, to get them.

You paid The King's Ransom for WR Cedrick Wilson. If he is anything less than 1000 yards in receiving this season that trade is a bust.
