Season 44... 1st quarter report card

Postby Mitch-Oilers » Sun Oct 23, 2022 4:30 pm

Raiders: Grade B

3-1 with a strong defense. Offensive efficiency has to improve in order to win the division and get a home playoff game.

LA Chargers C-
Barely beat a CPU team that was easily crushed by the Jets. Got swept badly. Defense is crap. Team looks soft. Offense is out of sync. Stumbled to .500 only because we somehow outplayed Atlanta. Lost QB Herbert. Back to Kizer. Looking like last season’s first half team.

Jacksonville: D-
Would be an F if not for that unexplainable miracle against the Jets. Only bright spot of the season so far.

Atlanta 2 2 0 96 101

Grade: C-
Offense: Looked good vs NE but otherwise inconsistent
Defense: Inconsistent, gave up too many points to the Chargers and Jets, looked soft in the second half vs the Patriots
A Passing grade (B- or higher) at this point would mean being 3-1.
Going forward: Games vs. SF, Wash, and DEt the next four weeks will go a long way of indicating whether this season is more like 2039 or more like 2040.

Grade D+

Not executing to potential. However being able to efficiently predict betting lines will help extend contracts for core team.

Grade F

Bad coaching has this team performing way under expectations.
