Reflections on the 2039 season for Kansas City

Postby Dean-Atlanta » Sat Jan 22, 2022 7:55 pm

Today's game is the end of the season for Kansas City. I would have preferred to have won the game against the Raiders today but that did not happen. The game was close and my team was leading 21 to 14 and had a chance but the Raiders scored two touchdowns to take a 28-21 lead but even after that my team had a shot to tie the game but Justin Fields threw an interception with less than a minute left in the game that ended the game.

This season resulted in 10 wins and six losses so there is plenty to look at in the closer wins and those losses to figure out what could be done better in to learn some lessons from those games. I will be back for next season and hope to do better next season and make it into postseason again.

Well done Dean. You fell behind early and battled back for 3 straight TDs.
That 2nd/10 play with 3:43 left, Raiders in their territory was a killer.
Missed tackle, goes for 18 and a first down. Sets up that winning score.
Sometimes it's just a play or two either way that decides a game.

You had a good season and beat some good teams along g the way. The biggest difference I saw in your team was your defense.

Nice work!

Thanks Mitch. Was a good season, I made a lot of progress and I will be back stronger this coming season, building on this season.

Thanks Rich. That could have gone either way if Fields hadn't throw that late INT. But I think the key momentum shift in the game was when my defense did not stop Oakland's offense on that next drive after KC lead 21-14. Stop Oakland there and KC likely wins, that is a key juncture in the game where my team was able to do that in previous weeks, including the second Minn game when the Vikings started mounting a comeback, as all good teams will do.
