Still annoying though because if I have any full game plans I want to re-use I'll have to remove two other plays. Hopefully Charlie's purge wrecked all my game plans and I need to add plays anyway. :P

If a play has not been called even once in three years, it is very doubtful that you have any in your current game plans.

We are talking possibly "two" plays here, not major adjustments to plans or profiles. If you have more than two GLPs and GLRs in your game plan already as I do, there is nothing for you to change. If you do not, you are adding maybe two plays, and maybe dropping two plays. On the defensive side, you are already compliant but have the option of reducing your fours to threes and adding something else.

All I am asking is to review it. Why is reviewing rule changes such a bad idea? If it is a good rule then reviewing won't change anything. If it is a bad rule then we aren't suck on it. That should be standard practice it is sad it isn't.

James, we have discussed it, Rich, Jerry, and I have kicked this around for weeks. In the real NFL, teams do not go for 4th & 1 anywhere on the field, anytime, with any score, at any point in the game. YES, there is always a one-off! Second, two offensive plays against four defensive plays are not balanced, and we were just looking for balance. YES, some of the other categories are also not balanced, offense vs. defense, but these were the only categories that appear overused in outside-the-box NFL standards. A simple 3 to 3 balance, leaving everything else the same did not seem that dramatic and should make it a little tougher to pick up the 1st down. Fourth and one seems a lot tougher in the NFL than in the PNFL, which is why you only see it in the NFL in a certain score, time, and field position situations, not like what we are seeing in the PNFL.

Again I don't care Rich, Jerry and you aren't perfect. I still say all new rules should be reviewed after 1 season and reviewed after that at some point to double check. I am not debating the rule. I am saying review all changes.

I am not asking for anything that is unreasonable. The fact you are so set that you are perfect and make no mistakes that things shouldn't be reviewed is seriously laughable.

We nerfed passing to a few season later to have to buff it. You make a rule to improve passing they did nothing and they are still on the books. The fact we don't review things just making things more of a mess.

Also I think all rules need to be put to vote because I think lately these decrees are getting old. It they are good rules they should be able to get by a vote. I mean a straight up yay or nay vote. None of these pick a bunch between rules so that nothing passes.

Just for the record I wouldn't have not voted for or against this rule. This is about betterment of the league.

Charlie I am going to be completely honest here. This rule is a much to do about nothing but it is the process not being followed. Rules used to always be voted on and not they are just decrees.

Point blanks
Rule changes should be voted on (I don't think there has been a single decree rule I would say is good)
and should have to have again at some point as a review.

Explain why we should get to vote and why you think all rules are so perfect they shouldn't be reviewed instead of avoiding my point.

If we do go back to voting on rule changes, I vote we keep the filibuster in place.

Just the real "talking" filibuster, no phone-in filibusters.

I do think we should have up or down votes on all rule changes, and review past rule changes to see if they "worked" at making our game more relaistic, or whatever the purpose of the rules was.

I agree. Going for it on 4th and 1 is done way wayyyyyyyyyyyy too often and they are made wayyyyyyyyyyy to often compared to the NFL. No doubt this is not realistic. Seeing a 4th and 1 in most instances should lead to a punt or a FG.
