I am proposing that all trades be reviewed to ensure that reasonably fair trading takes place. Good trades are when two teams find a way to trade that is fairly close to even n value traded and the trade mutually benefits, and improves, both teams. But we know some real swindling takes place in trades.
The process would be simple, Rich as league officer, who can be very fair and objective in reviewing trades, will review every trade and approve them or return them to the GMs involve to adjust them to make them more even. I have full confidence Rich can do this well, and hope he will be willing to perform this role if trade reviews are adopted by this league.
In the past, I've been in many leagues that employed trade review this way and it has worked extremely well. I really think it would work in our loge as well.

I assumed Rich made the final say before processing each trade.

Re: Trade Review Proposal
It has been a while since Charlie and I had to take down a trade but I can assure you, my antenna is always up with regards to trades between a veteran coach and a newb coach.
I also try and scare the new coach that someone is definitely going to try and rip him off.
But, at a certain point the training wheels are off and it's pretty hard to tell a 10 season coach that he's making a terrible trade.
Bottonline, trades are always being monitored and if I see something gross the league will step in. I also am more than happy to give anyone my input on a potential deal they are considering.
It's just so hard to stop that Jerry guy from making stupid trades...lol

Re: Trade Review Proposal
The new LA Chargers philosophy going forward:
1. Build through the draft and free agency only.
2. Trade draft picks/points only, never trade to send/receive players.
3. Stay young. Keep players until they anti age or become unaffordable.
4. Stay under the cap by letting starter vets age/retire so they don't play for anyone else.
All of you know where I stand now. I know I was considering making deals for players before the start new season button was pressed, but that was the past. No more. I know some of you won't like this attitude around trading players and see it as anti-participation, but I'm going to stick to it going forward. You have been warned.
