Congratulations to Justin and the Chicago Cardinals organization.
It is rather apropos how my season ended because my biggest problem all year long was FGs.
I was a dreadful 15-31 on the season.
3-6 from 20-29
8-12 from 30-39
3-9 from 40-49
1-4 from 50+
So, if anyone was wondering I certainly did not intend to throw on 4th/16 with a 41 yard FG waiting to be kicked.
But, it sure was no guarantee I would have made it with heavy rain and a 33% success rate.
Yesterday was brutal to watch that coaching gaff unfold but losing a 23-3 lead with 8 minutes left in 2035 against the Giants was much more painful and I recovered from that.
On to 2039!
Congrats to the Cardinals

Congrats to the Cards, but no back to backs around here. Washington is ready to do battle.
The Giant loss has to be the worst......... It was crazy to see it occur

Re: Congrats to the Cardinals
Thanks guys. The Jets kicking woes definitely defined their season, including our 28-27 game back in week 2. A missed PAT, and then the go ahead 47-yard field goal that went wide in the final minutes, were the difference in that one.
The go for it call in SB41 may have been unintentional but one could make a case for it being the right call given the Jets kicking woes. Sounds absurd, like going for it on 4th down from your own 36, you say?
Say the FG is kicked and is good, Jets win probability goes from slightly above 50% to about about 75%. But, the Cards still have 3 timeouts and 1:18 left, and both teams were starting to break some decent kick returns. Meanwhile, if that 4th and 16 pass is caught, it's 1st and goal from the 2, 87% win probability. If your kicker makes that kick only 33% of the time, then that pass play only has to be completed 29% of the time to be the better option. And the league MVP is throwing that pass.
Congrats to the Jets on setting the league standard several seasons running. Very fortunate to come out on top this time around.
