Washington FA Gazette

Ravens Ravens Ravens

The crazy birds are bidding up lower valued positions

S Woehler is the Redskin 16th rated POT and 65th rated ACT safety. Slots him into S4. Very solid developmental S.

K Reichard is the 4th rated K based on our algorithm.

The current draft classes and the early retirements of released players is altering position numbers. Four teams cut their K and attempted to add them back. Then some team with a signed K decided to bid the position up on the one remaining quality FA.

Did I mention the Ravens.

Leave it to the new guy to upset the apple cart and change the game. Is this good? Is this bad? Who knows. But, the game has changed and things will definitely be interesting.

Maybe Larry understands theEBay mentality and how it applies to FA bidding. Maybe making the Redskins pay too high a price for those FAs is by design.

I'm just sitting back watching the chaos.

Coaches signing FAs only to cut the player a day later.

Coaches signing FAs then cutting a player who was already on their roster with the same player ranking.

Let me get some popcorn ready for the draft.

Only 28 picks into the draft and we've already had a 6th round talent drafted...

Oversigned in FA and had to get below 63.

Maybe I need to draft more 6th round talent to go 14-2...
