2049 rule changes
Is there a breakdown of the approved rule changes coming into the 2049 season?

Re: 2049 rule changes
Regulated sub percentages for additional positions
Modification in 2 DL defenses permitted per category
Anything else?

Re: 2049 rule changes
Are these added to the rules here on the forum? I remember the changes on use of 2-DL defenses, but what are the changes in substitution percentages?

This is exactly why I've asked for a summary of the 2049 rules changes. The last I read, min sub% was going to be 95% except for QB. However, I haven't seen that reflected in the rules.

Re: 2049 rule changes
Totally reasonable question. I'm testing profiles forthis coming season and doing this under the curreent rules. They will need to be revised for the new rules if we are changing the sub percentages in the rules. We need to know.
The current rules says:
B. Offensive COACHING PROFILES requirements:
• Substitution %: In each Offensive profile, the QB substitution % must be set to 75/80. All other positions may be edited freely.
I do not think this has been updated yet.

Also, I believe it was agreed that rookie coaches were not allowed to make trades in their 1st season without approval by Rich.

What was the final agreement on the 2-DL defenses?

I'm waiting to hear a final decision.

Re: 2049 rule changes
Not sure if this was final from Charlie, but I think it's close.
Well, I am doing this on my phone, so my focus is not as good as if I was on my computer, but here goes.
1) Unlimited across the board is off the table!
2) The DLs can line up on the LOS anywhere from the Center to, but not touching the field numbers. As such, as they move to the field numbers they do not have to be in a 3-point stance. At or inside the Tackles they must be in a 3-point stance.
3) PS and PM go to 50%.
4) PL goes to 75%.
5) PD goes to 100 %.
6) Three players MUST be defending the LOS (DLs in run or pass rush or read. LBs and DBs MUST be run or pass rush or blitz, NOT read.
I do not have access to the rules, so #6 might need tweaking. In short, LBs and DBs defending the LOS cannot in any way be covering a receiver, a zone, or reading the play. They have to be rushing the QB.
