So the regular 270 players but with more skew in ratings. We each value the ratings a little differently so I don’t want a small pool with cookie cutter ratings. That way there will be enough variety so we can each build our teams the way we want.

I see what you are saying Barney, but I don’t think we’re there yet. Once we get through the next two offseasos, I think we will be in a better place to do what you are saying.

The NFL has 32 Teams we have 18, the way Charlie has done it, is suffice I don't see anything here needing to fix. Taking into account of all the formulas, with half the amount of teams we should have half the amount of draftees.

That's the point. We have half the teams, yet more players in our draft pool than the NFL.

I would have more DEs than DTs and perhaps less Safeties

All this debate about the number of rookies seems silly to me.
It's not about the total number but about the usable number of rookies.
Charlie can create 300 players but if only 175 have any chance at playing in the league, that's all you need.

At a certain point, once I see players have zero chance, I delete them anyway.
So, you may as well pick a number of usable players and stick to it.
126 get drafted and 50 more are usable depth, sounds good enough to me.
The odds are very few of those 50 end up on rosters anyway.
Then after 4 seasons, they get deleted.

Maybe someone can tabulate the average number of players per position drafted over the last 20 drafts to figure out how many players per position for 175 players?

The amount of players at each position should be dictated by the NFL draft, not our desires.
In this NFL draft, there are 2 QBs and that's it. And most people think there is 1 QB.
So why should our draft have 8 usable QBs?
This how we get in trouble at positions like QB where every team has a star and a star backup.
The idea is make them scarce which increases their value.
Perhaps Charlie will downgrade the other 6 but there has always been a tendency to make them more usable than they should be.
In this years NFL draft 10 QBs were selected so no more than 5 should be in this class and 3 of them should suck with only 1 star.
But, I reject set numbers at each position but care more about who was drafted in the NFL.
