The Miami Sharks...

Postby Dean-Atlanta » Sat Feb 28, 2026 5:15 pm

A first round quality (by current rookie standards) CB, age 4, for a THIRD round draft pick... really? This is highway robbery and should be blocked as a traded that way my trade with SD for a similar kind of CB was blocked. New GMs should be protected from being swindled in trades by veteran GMs.

MIA trades 2049 3rd round pick
LAC trades CB Scott

A 3rd round pick for a CB6... sounds pretty fair to me... thank you for your opinion

It is CB4 on your team and the best CB that you have that is under 9 seasons.

The CB was an early 2nd-round pick and signed for 5 years, easily an early 2nd to 1st-grade value. I scanned his roster; he might have him at CB6, but he really is the 2nd best CB on his team. This is worst trade of this offseason.

Interesting... a 4 year player who is a CB6 on his team and would be a CB7 on my team, which means he would be inactive, is supposed to garner a 1st or 2nd round pick? Wow!

If you want an unbiased, 3rd party opinion, use Rich's salaries and rank the players. It looks like the salaries match pretty close to my assessment.

Should still be a waiting period for new coaches on trading players, brand new coaches shouldn't be able to trade this early in their tenure, nor conduct any kind of roster purge with their limited understanding of how the player attributes are valued. Should be an minimum observation window time period before those privileges are allowed to be exercised.

I agree. And the penalty for obvious sharking like this should be the trade is declined and exploiting team loses a later round draft pick. Maybe repeat offenders should forfeit earlier round draft picks. Player theft in uneven trades by shark teams should not be allowed against new GMs.

We should put a binding UN resolution against the Dolphins and put a naval blockade around Miami. Economic sactions should be levied against all members of the organization.
