Error meesage in game

Postby Dean-Atlanta » Thu Feb 06, 2020 12:27 pm

I get this when trying to run an exhibition game:

D:\Fb98\Code\A\Sim\Strflic.cpp (Cannot open data file)

Anyone know what this means or how to fix it?

Do the teams you are trying to use have empty A or O slot in the roster?

If a team does not have a full roster, they should not show up as a choice for an Exhibition game!

You have "Sim" in that ERROR Code! Are you trying to run the game on your cell-phone?

Good Luck with that

Simming exhibition vs. Giants and they have all A and O slots filled. Also I have no saved game files in the fpbro98 folder.

If it's not the rosters, its the plans and profiles.
They obviously must be linked to valid plans and profiles.
I just created an exhibition game between the Jets/Giants since their rosters were fine.
But I had to load in their PPP because what you see for all the teams is mixed up.
Also, even if not mixed up, you still need to link unless your file structure is identical to mine.
Mine looks like this Sierra/Fbpro98/PNFL/2036/Plans/Team Name (City) (Owners first name)

For example
Kansas City (Dean)
NY Jets (Thomas)
NY Giants (Shawn)
Denver (OPEN)

If you set your files up like me, once I load in everything then you don't have to.
You can just create exhibition games without loading anything in the coaching section.
Of course, you need actual plans and profiles for each teams folder.
