What We Have Here is Failure to Communicate
If you were on the Podcast yesterday evening you heard me, say, "That is not the right call" on one of the plays in the first quarter. Here is the confirmation that the computer rarely, but randomly calls the wrong play. I am not saying it cost me the game, as something else might have resulted in a TD or a sack. However, this confirms that the computer makes mistakes that you might not. In this case, I was NOT calling a Goal Line Pass

Re: What We Have Here is Failure to Communicate
Then how come I got an email from you early this morning whining about that call likely costing you the game?
This was after whining about a call last week when the computer called a play category that only had 5% chance of being called.
49ers could be 10-4, blah blah blah

Plus the profile snapshot says 3rd 6-10 and the log script says 3rd and just over 10 so it would be interesting to see what you have set for 3rd 10+.
But yeah I have seen phantom calls where the game calls a play type that was not among the three types called in the profile even when all three of the types are present in the game plan. Happens rarely but does happen.

The game has always used GLP D's randomly. That's why I stopped using any 10 years ago. They result in huge plays when they happen

You have motivated me to stop using GLP too now.
Is it only Def GLP? Or does Def GLR and Off GLP and Off GLR have similar glitch potential?

3rd 10+ has the same defensive play calls, just different probabilities!

I remember discussing that with you many seasons ago, and I also stopped using them. Alas, I forgot and inserted them again, to my dismay.

Re: What We Have Here is Failure to Communicate
I noticed it back when I was simming a ton. I noticed all of these GLP plays giving up big plays at id field. I knew the other team PPP did not call those plays. That's when I noticed the 3rd and 10+ and 4th down calls had GLP even when I did not have them called. I even lost a game becuase of it over the years. I have not used them since. Problem solved.

I'll have to go back and check my logs now. Thanks for the tip guys. I know it's a remote possibility, but is it possibly you didn't include one of those categories in your defensive plan? Perhaps the Pass Razzle Dazzle?
