The Sacko Bowl

Postby Dean-Atlanta » Sun Dec 31, 2023 5:24 pm

The winner will be either 4-11 Jacksonville or 4-11 Atlanta, and will be awarded this trophy.

The prize will be the first pick in the draft, which will be won by Las Vegas if Atlanta wins the game, or Kansas City if Jacksonville wins the game.

Atanta is already planning on losing to New England.

Of courrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrse... time spend on game planning and watching practice games vs NE is for the purpose of planning to lose.

You claimed you were going to be one of the bottom 2 teams. If you win there is a good chance you won't be.

Jax and Atl are 4-11. The loser of the game is the worst, while the winner finishes 5-11 and maybe not be in the bottom 2. That was my point. I intend for Jax to be 18th and get the first pick (already traded to LV).

Jax is the defending Sacko Bowl Champ. having gone 3-13 last season, which lead to the Jets (their recipient of the first round pick last year) picking first overall. I have at least one of them, from the season I went 1-15 with Pitt. I think you said you once went 0-16 in one of the seasons after you blew up your roster to get draft picks and rebuild.

Yeah I've struggled the last three seasons after I blew up my secondary trying to rebuild it once they got old.

You guys have 1 more game left and there are a ton of 5-10 teams left. If any of those 5-10 lose and you win you are not even the 2nd pick in the draft. Heck If you win and LV loses they most likely will have the top 2 picks. I respect your dedication to sucking. You have almost perfected it. I sometimes think you have gotten so good at it you have lost your connection to reality. I used to think about half the time I have no idea where you pulling what you say from now it is almost everything you say.

If you look below while it will change some. You will lose all tiebreaker to every 5-10 and 4-11 team. There is a possiblity you could end up with the 5th pick in the draft and if you win it is very unlikely you end up in the top 2.

1. Jacksonville 4-11 92-103 (Los Vegas)
2. Atlanta 4-11 105-90 (Kansas City)
3. Las Vegas 5-10 88-92
4. Anaheim 5-10 90-90
5. New York 5-10 102-93

I also have 0 of these because I never played a game 17 vs 18 game. The point is you play the game and lose not just you finish in last place.

I think this post was misunderstood by some. The loser of the battle of 4-12 teams will be the ONLY 4-12 team and ranked #18 and get the first overall pick. The winner of that game will be 5-11 and finish who knows where based on tie breakers.

What would be funny is that after all this Dean and I win this week and LV, NYG, Anaheim all lose. Then we'd all finish 5-11.
