This went from being a minor matter to an obvious personal attack. James took it from whining about it last season to making it the focus of the first show to literally making a post about it. Constantly says he is not naming names and then does so repeatedly. This is becoming tiresome. Get over it. Stop being so bitter about me getting the #1 pick.

It’s actually quite hypocritical. You have repeatedly tanked through your roster management for multiple seasons. You are a great coach capable of winning multiple titles but have been tanking it for multiple seasons by building all-rookie teams and hoarding 100s of points without spending them on talent that could have built you juggernauts. Your roster was so salary poor at one point, Rich started talking about salary floors and I started making point rollover proposals. And although you don’t send in something to intentionally lose you really haven’t tried to win for many seasons. That is still tanking.

You can scream and yell all you want about anti-tanking proposals but that has just as much chance of passing as my point rollover cap proposal.

And yes I realize Barney made the post but it doesn’t invalidate anything I said

The big difference is I was never actively trying to lose even when I blew up my roster. I was trying to get better and quick. Both times I did it, I was extremely old with no picks and no points back when veterans cost an extra 2 to 3 points each season. So I turned vets into picks/points and didn't waste points to sign players that wouldn't be there when the team was built. It is being a smart GM. Yes, I had two times where I was on autopilot. One was when Rich asked me to stay and just submit RM after deciding to quit. The other was after 2DL rule when I was trying to build the team for the next coach. As stated above, the roster was a mess. They were never as bad as the crap you threw out the final weeks of last season.

Calling you out for deliberately losing games to get the first pick not once but twice by your own admission. Isn't hypercritical. When you do that, you are 99% sure to lose the game. You know what you did was against the spirit of how coaches coach in this league. It is amazing you say I was tanking, and I have only got the number pick once, and most years during my rebuild, my pick wasn't even my first pick in the draft. I must really suck at tanking. You have done it twice and got the first pick in the draft both times. I even had Dan coach my team when I knew I wouldn't have time one season instead of going on autopilot.
For the record, I have been in favor of capping rollover points since you proposed it. There was no way I could have built a juggernaut by using points, and you know it. I have tried in the past.

The reality is we can't have good teams deciding to take seasons off. Just to get a WR or a CB because they won't fall to them. It really is bad for the integrity of the league. The reality is you probably would have had a better pick than me even if you didn't tank.

I am not a good coach. I think my record over the years shows. that. Do I think I am in the bottom tier? No, but I am not on the same level as Mitch, Barney, Charlie, Jerry, Justin, Donovon, Brian, and you. I am a step below. Yes, I can beat those teams from time to time. The only reason I beat Jerry 3 times in a season was he lost all his weekly planning the day before the game. I rarely beat any of those guys, and I am not even sure I have beaten Barney once.

Really miss being able to edit my post.

Steve, for the record, making it the middle segment wasn't my idea. I was asked 2 days before the show if I would be on the show and I went back and forth a bunch before doing it. In the pre-show talk my post was brought up, and that is why we talked about it. I didn't even think about talking about it until someone else suggested it. I probably wouldn't have posted about it if you hadn't joked about tanking again and I hadn't just heard about NBA debating anti-tanking policy.

I say, if a team finishes in the bottom 5 of the draft for 3 years in a row, cut their new point allotment in half until they finish out of the bottom 5. That would mimick the decline in review for the team since fans wouldn't be buying as much merch or game tickets. Ha!

And because it is in week 16, I guarantee you will face the same crap I sent in for week 16 last season. Perfectly worsened just for you!
