I'm in agreement with Rich on this, but I don't see any harm in extending the time for these types of signings as long as it makes sense.

Actually I was proposing a one size fits all, simple and across the board for all teams. Accomplishes Jerry’s goal without the need for a more complex “special” rule.

I know I am late but there is a simple and better solution. During the season you can't sign a player until next Sunday. We all should be looking for results on the webpage so we will all check it.

You can't go by the player in the transaction that hit recently. He was junk. An average or above player is different and whether we like it or not everyone does not have a chance to hit the forum 365 days a year. The 24 hours can be over before others even see it. I say again. It is a clear 100% restructure cheat and has 0 other reason for an instant cut an sign by the team. It is not a cut if 1 sec later you offer a new contract. You can feel how you want about the practice, but please admit it is a restructure pure and simple and 100% done for a cheap 2 year contract.

it is done because the ONE point is all those players are worth. As proven by the FACT that NO ONE bids 1.5 points on them. Let's keep it real.
There is no problem here. No needed solution either.
I say leave the rules as they are. They are broken, don't "dix" them.

BTW. Justin. Your suggestion is exactly along what I was thinking. Simple but fairer

Not sure what has been discussed. Not going to read multiple pages at this point. I'm assuming we are saying players cut during the season go on pseudo a waiver wire? You cut them, you can't sign them back until after the current week's games are over? Or what are we saying?

Justin's idea is player can't be signed for 24 hours
My idea no one can be signed until Sunday morning.
Either works but My idea is set up so you really own need to check the forums every Sunday instead of every other day.

I’d much rather see the 24 hours because it’s even across the board. The idea of having to wait until Sunday to bid for a guy who was cut on Tuesday while other free agents are being bid on or signed is cumbersome at best.
