Anyone wonder how Atlanta is 1-3 and Lamar Jackson is starting QB vs Detroit, look at the numbers on Trey Lance in the first four weeks:
Week 1 vs NO 11 of 21, 251 yards 57.1% 1 TD 1 INT
Week 2 vs NE 11 of 31, 311 yards 35.5% 1 TD 0 INT
Week 3 vs IND 11 of 25, 171 yards 44.0% 1 TD 0 INT
Week 4 vs SEA 11 of 34, 198 yards 32.4% 1 TD 1 INT
How many of you would make the change?

While the QB who took you to the finals is the starter on a 3-1 team......................

Re: QB Controversy in Atlanta
Sam Darnold is the current starting QB for that 3-1 team. Justin Fields started week 3 only vs Anaheim and Darnold resumed his role as starter week 4 vs the Giants.
But to compare them, Fields and Lance are almost identical in ratings:
A QB2 1 Justin Fields OK 3 0-0 0 77 79 80 96 70 84 92 84
78 79 81 96 71 84 92 84
A QB1 2 Trey Lance OK 2 0-0 0 77 79 81 95 70 85 92 83
78 79 81 95 71 85 92 83
I don't think either one will ever win a SB

Re: QB Controversy in Atlanta
The OC simply asked, can we get a QB who can throw completed passes?
sometimes you have to fire the QB.
sometimes you have to fire the QB.

Typically it's more so scheme than the player.

Re: QB Controversy in Atlanta
Does the player fit the scheme? Are you trying to do something that the player cannot do? Are the designs feasible in the situations you are getting incomplete passes? Lots of things go into that equation.

Re: QB Controversy in Atlanta
All noise. The signal here, that you all missed, is what Justin said above. The stats this season, in my offense, of Trey Lance, mirror those in his system last season.
Then again, any of you who believe it's the system and not the player, prove me wrong by trading for QB Lance and showing us he can excel in your offense.
