Working on creating new defensive plays and realizing this. M2M pass coverage logic is so weak it is an "AI Buster" itself because it's busted logic that isn't worth $hit. Use shade under and the WRs get 2-3 yards past the CB and catch passes all day long! Use shade deep and they go too far down field, and the WR turns around to get the ball, and catches passes all day long. Use neither shade deep or shade under and they do one of the other or they are MIA when the QB throws the ball!
Either M2M pass coverage logic is incredibly weak, or maybe our CBs are too low in SP-AC-AG compared to our WRs?

And if a DB is covering a RB or TE that in pass protection in the backfield, they just stand there and pick their noses while the QBs looks for an open receiver. They help cover other receiver running rutes, and they don't engage in any pass rush either. They just stand there. Totally retarded!

What offensive pass plays are you using against these defenses? It sounds like we need to ban them or I need to make sure they are in my practice gameplans.

You're just now realizing the DB logic on players in the backfield...........

CBs maxx out at 87 EN.
WRs maxx out at 91 EN.
This might be part of the problem. WRs and CBs, on average, should have the same EN.

But I thought you were seeing the issue in play editor practice. EN would not matter there. Ultimately, WRs are higher in most ratings than CBs, so there is nothing that can be done.

Not the play editor, but sim data. I challenge anyone to design a PM defense that consistently average lower than 5.5 yards per catch by the opposing offense. The last two NEW PM plays I created, 5.5 and 5.7 and they are coverage based plays, they get very few sacks, but gave up avg. 4.6 and 4.7 vs run.

What scenario are you calling PM plays? I come across several PM plays that average less than 5.5 in any given week. In fact, rarely do I have a PM play in my gameplan from week to week that doesn't average less than 5.5 yards per pass during practice sims?

I am guessing you are using PM defenses mostly or exclusively for 3rd and 6-10 down situations, if using them that way you might get those results. Which PM plays are you seeing consistently below 5.5?

I've posted results from 4 different weeks of practice sims. Granted, the success of the PM plays depended on the style and tendency of the opponent.
