Does Dan want to be KC?

I agreed to "the Big Trade" with James because I want to return to the NFC, it's that simple, whether it is the NFC West or the NFC East, and regardless of whether re-alignment keeps Justin's team in the NFC West or move him back to the NFC East, possibly as Dallas. Until the diversion where I moved my Atlanta teams to become the Tennessee Titans then Pittsburgh Steelers, then 4-5 seasons as KC,, I have almost always been either Washington or Atlanta in the NFC in most of the leagues I have been in over the years.

So regardless of East or West, I definitely want to be back in the NFC. It's not about whether there is a better or "easier" path to the playoffs, because either way winning it all in this league will take beating the Jets or Cardinals regardless of which division your team is in.

I should have stayed with Atlanta, it's time to correct that mistake and go back. This is final move, I'll be staying in Atlanta until the PNFL ceases to operate as a league. This is long term and should have been if I stayed in Atlanta rather than take the Tenn-Pitt-KC detour back to Atlanta.

If I were to do it, I'd ignore current records and basically try to do something like this. The East divisions should have 5 teams, not four because the league is predominantly filled with east coast teams. We literally have only four west coast teams and all of them can be in a new 4 team NFC West. This model let's Cincy and Indy both be in a 5 team AFC East. The AFC Central basically becomes the NFL's NFC Central - wrong conference but at least they are together. If you think this is too unbalanced then swap the AFC Central and NFC West to be the NFC Central and the AFC West, but my gut tells me Charlie will never permit his 49ers to leave the NFC West, thus my initial idea.

AFC East
Jets
Jacksonville
New England
Indy
Cincy

AFC Central
Chicago
Green Bay
Minnesota
Detroit

NFC East
Washington
New York
Atlanta
New Orleans
Carolina

NFC West
San Fran
Seattle
LA Chargers
Oakland
Los Angeles Chargers
2041 Super Bowl XLIV Champions
Former commish of the XFBS, XFL, and CCFL

I disagree Steve. Justin and Thomas need to be in different conferences to give us balance. How about taking this alignment and swapping New Orleans and Chicago?

I'd consider the Memphis Oilers since I grew up an hour from Memphis. I believe the game has Memphis as a city, but I love my Jags a bit more.

Not sure why Dean wants the NFC. It is not weaker and the beating are ready to commence.... :D

This is my second favorite idea. I still like my full one better.

That works but it would be easy to do that except exchanging Carolina with Atlanta in the divisional alignment, sending Carolina to the NFC East. which is more geographically correct and putting Atlanta in the NFC West to compete with historical rivals NO and SF.

But either way would work.

This variation would work if we absolutely must keep Thomas and Justin in separate conferences, but you'd have to get Charlie to buy-in,

AFC East (Make it 5 teams - keep Cincy - add Indy)
Jets
Jacksonville
New England
Indy
Cincy

AFC West (Make it the all west division but only 4 teams)
San Fran
Seattle
LA Chargers
Oakland

NFC East (Make it 5 teams - add Atlanta, Carolina and New Orleans)
Washington
New York
Atlanta
New Orleans
Carolina

NFC Central (Make it 4 teams - Green Bay stays - Minnesota and Detroit give Chicago decent competition)
Chicago
Green Bay
Minnesota
Detroit
Los Angeles Chargers
2041 Super Bowl XLIV Champions
Former commish of the XFBS, XFL, and CCFL
