Player Injury Recovery

Postby Larry - Ravens » Thu Sep 17, 2026 3:15 pm

Has anyone else noticed that some players seem to have healed between Saturday’s league files and the most recent files Rich sent yesterday?

My roster on the website shows one D3 player and two P1s, which matches Saturday’s league files. However, the most recent league file from the 16th shows only one Q2 player, with everyone else healthy.

It’s not just my team. I checked a few other teams and noticed the same thing with some of their injured players.

Is this normal, or is this something I should just keep to myself?

Totally normal. Rich created game files, and in the process, the week's healing takes place. That's why your player went from D-3 to Q-2.

I'm confused. So if a player is injured P-1 after a game, he heals before the next game? I thought P-1 injuries took a week to heal, not a day or two.

Rich goes to the Commissioner>Remote League section within the game and clicks "Create Game Files for the Week"

this generates game####.in files in the FBPRO98 folder - one for each game of the week

generation of these game####.in files heals the league one week so P-1s are healthy and Q-2s become P-1s

he is not doing it to heal the league though

he does it to be able to run the games and to be able to resim a game if there is an obvious need for a resim

if something goes wrong in a sim such as a coach clearly violated the rules and it affected the outcome of the game or he inadvertently used the wrong PPPs, the game####.in allows Rich to resim the game without affecting the results of the other games

he rarely needs to do any resims, but generating the game####.in files is an important precaution for every commissioner to do when running a league - Dean does the same thing for the PCFL - I did the same thing for every league I ran

To clarify, and maybe this isn't how it's always been, but it was expressed to me by Rich himself that "games are never replayed" (for rules violations). Instead a punishment could be imposed, such as lost draft picks.

The commissioner is human and can make mistakes. If he inadvertently uses the wrong PPPs, he will definitely resim it. This mechanism enables him to do so.

Probably true he won't resim if WE are the ones making the mistakes.
