We artificially assign them higher salaries for one year. After that they are treated as all others.

The draft itself is conducted in one of 2 ways. We have been using the forum message board which is time consuming and relies and others active participation but allows for careful study and trading. Or, we use a program called draftsock which brings us all into a room and in 2-3 hours finish the entire draft.
The Draftsock program can be found in the "downloads" section on the home page. Middle column, middle of page its right there.
You would install this, open, select league (pnfl) and enter my IP that I supply you.
Pick your team and you are inside. There you would have access to all the rookies and will see the picks as they are selected.

Round 3 = 75 sec
Round 4 = 60 sec
Round 5 = 60 sec
Round 6 = 60 sec
Round 7 = 60 sec
