Profile using category not in plan
I just looked at my PAT logic for the first time (after not going for 2 in a clear place to go for 2) and found it uses Goal Line Run as one of the play categories anytime it goes for 2. I don't have any GLR plays in my game plan. Does the game substitute a different run play category or will it just always use one of the other two weighted play categories?

I think it randomly calls something else. Not sure though...

Re: Profile using category not in plan
I have never tested that but it's easy enough.
Just edit a profile to call short left, medium left, run middle on all first downs/all situations.
Then delete all the short lefts from your plan.
Sim a few games and see what the game calls on every first down.
Will it call only medium lefts and runs each time or throw in some random categories too.
Interested in having that answer.
Because if it sticks to just medium left and run middle it could be used as a "cheat"
In certain situations where you want to use a specific category, all you would have to do is add 2 categories in your profile but not have them in your plan. Since we do not mandate GLP GLR RL RR this could be exploited if the game chooses only one of the cats you specified.

I'll take a look at this and collect some sim data.

Re: Profile using category not in plan
I set every scenario to
RL 10
PLM 1
PLL 1
My results were as follows for one game. These are the number of plays per category.
RL 68
RM 2
PRD 1
PLR 1
PMR 1
PMM 2
PML 2
PSR 2
PSM 3
PSL 4
GLP 1
In my opinion, you could set it to where it called RL in this situation the vast majority of the time; however, the other two categories would be called randomly like you get a Random Random category. Instead of Random Pass or Random Run. It'd be a combo of those two.

No RR called, did you have any RR in the game plan?

I think I did, but I can't remember at the moment. It's not a difficult test to setup if anyone wants to do it for themselves and see the results.
