A delay makes sense under the circumstances.

I am going to make a couple of big assumptions here, so this idea might not fly!

First, I assume that the enthusiasm is to play a competition game, not necessarily start the actual season.

Second, I also assume that my idea would not hinder Rich's vacation, since he was willing to play seasonal games anyway.

Idea: Have pre-season matches like the NFL.

1) Probably via emails, you guys would arrange a match-up with an opponent (preferably not your day-one opponent).
2) You both would send PPPs to Rich by 'his' designated time, run the games, and post the Logs and videos.
3) Same for the following week (preferably different opponents, and not your day-one regular season opponent).
4) Then, we start the season as Justin suggested.
5) No one is required to participate if we proceed with the idea as laid out above.

I could live with this, but Rich would need to pull the trigger.

@ Charlie - interesting alternative, but if we are going to play games, I vote we start the season as schrduled until next week

What about meeting in the middle and just starting next week? With no more custom plays released between now and then.

Gentleman,
To be honest, I do not see the need for a delay at all...BUT
If teams want a delay, I say lets split the baby.
Week One is Wednesday/Thursday/Friday (20-21-22) and all games are complete as I requested before the weekend.
Week Two is back on schedule (30th) and instead of a short week, you all get a long week.

So you would all get an additional 6 days to get ready and then 8-9 days before week 2.

IF, there are teams out there who want to play an exhibition game as early as tonight, I'll play them and post them.

I could definitely used a delay for at least a week.

I'm fine with what Rich suggested, or playing games this weekend, regular games.
