FYI Quick update. Charlie is in the process of tweaking and finalizing. The commissioners know we need rule D05 to be crystal clear before anyone makes any new defensive plays. Patience.

FINAL RESULT:

You are not required to use Safeties on any new custom defensive play. You must still have the required number of safeties to meet roster requirements, but it is purely up to you to include them as your DBs in new custom defensive plays. The commissioners felt it was best not to restrict the type of DBs used in plays.

The good news is that the overall rules for designing defensive plays has been massively clarified. For example, the cheat sheet was added to the rules to provide a breakdown of requirements by play category. There is a slight difference between RL & PS now, so that was addressed. In addition, the definition of RUN FOCUSED and PASS FOCUSED was further defined.

Have fun making new plays! Thanks for helping us make this improvement for the league!
