Get the game working
Download the play pool
Read the rules
Study your players, in the contract file, noting their original draft position and current contract length, and the rosters page
Read the rules again
Study the draft pool (ask for it if you don’t have it yet)
Figure out your players tags, but don’t post yet
Hold off on trading for now
Read the rules again
Listen to This Week in the PNFL, try to find past episodes from right after prior Super Bowls
Post cuts to get down to 53 players this week. Run them by Rich first to make sure you’re on the right track.

Nice start! However, you have to cut 10 players to get down to 53. I recommend making a separate post listing all 10 players you want to cut, so Rich doesn't make any mistakes when adjusting the rosters.

Don't be afraid to ask questions - Justin & Mitch are 2 of the absolute best coaches, and there are many other guys who don't mind helping.
And expect to make some mistakes during the first couple seasons, but no worries. Newer coaches (Raiders, Broncos, Steelers) all initially struggled at the beginning before making the playoffs shortly thereafter. There's a learning curve, but that's normal.
Welcome to the league!

And thank you so much for your offers to help! Much appreciated!
I sure spent many hours getting newbies up to speed when I helped run my H2H league the WFFL back in the day from 2003 - 2010 for FOURTEEN consecutive seasons - now I am the one getting that help
Cheers,
Jay
