CPU Teams going for 4th

This should not happen there is no good reason for it. CPU should be managed well in the GM aspects of the game to keep them in good shape for future owners but they don't need to necessarily win. That will only drive away more team owners.

Think about.. You all know I'm right.

Pleas explain in more detail. Are you discussing a PPP error? I built them and the intent is for them to be set to a normal PPP with some 4th down calls. They will go for it sometimes at 4th and 1 in the defenses side of the field and when behind late in the game. No different than when you would do it. They are not as aggressive as Chicago, but I believe they should go when it makes sense.

I agree with Jerry. But, the question is, do we want rent a wins with the CPU teams or a team that is about middle of the pack to slightly above the pack in difficultly. I don't necessarily think they should be able to make the playoffs, but I would welcome a challenge rather than just a guaranteed win.

4th and 1 on its own 31...even Justin doesn't go for that and he calls lot of 4th down conversions.

I just ran thru the Philly PPP's and I only see it inside their own 35 with less than 5 minutes in the 4th quarter when losing. This would be a good play call. Otherwise it had to be one of those fluke play calls that drives Cincinnati crazy. :P

Dean,
Are you serious?:)
CPU teams should not win?
They should not go for 4th downs?
Maybe not kick FGs too?
It's not competitive open teams driving owners away, its that the game is 22-23 years old!
Think about the ages of the original crop of people who played might now be 60-70-80 years old!
We get zero kids 18-35 playing this game.
I bet if they knew of this game, a few might say its pretty cool just based on the play editor functions.
I digress though, yes open teams need to be competitive and try to win games.
Otherwise we might as well reduce to 12.
