Coaches — this is a quick reminder about a long‑standing FBPro98 quirk that is still alive and well that you may not know or forgot.

When you are editing your Offensive or Defensive Coaching Profiles, Situation #1 does not behave like the others. If you open or adjust another situation — even something down the list like #1234 — the game may quietly copy that situation’s calls into Situation #1. In some cases (not verified), simply viewing another situation might be enough to trigger it.

This can lead to unexpected play mixes showing up in games, especially where Situation #1 might be used more often than people may realize.

Recommendation: Whenever you update a coaching profile, always finish by checking Situation #1 before you save. Make sure it still contains the calls you want. Skipping this step increases the chance that the game overwrote Situation #1 with whatever you were just working on, which may cause very strange play calling combinations you do not expect.

Avoid the “mystery Situation #1” surprises by following the recommendation above.

I notice it now and then when loading a profile and occasionally I will even correct it, mostly expecting it to be wrong once again by the time I save the profile.

I don't actively search/check it figuring I'll forget the one time it actually matters. Plus, it's first and goal from the 1 with >5:00 minutes and up 8+, so I'm not too worried about it. My team is destined to collapse in the end regardless.

I see this one quite frequently and have make the correction. However, I notice other glitches in "ahead 8+" situations. You definitely have to be diligent to ensure all your "ahead 8+" situations are correct.

They seem to happen more when you use the copy command. Almost as if the game holds the copy and does it when you go to a different situation. The one in situation 1 is just what it is
