New York Jets Future

Coaches,
It is with great sadness that I am announcing my exit from the PNFL at the conclusion of these playoffs. I expect Mitch to finish me off this week and that really is fitting as we have had some fun games in the past.

Unfortunately, my real life consumes all my free time these days and despite some LUCK the past 2 seasons, I am not contributing to the league anymore. I have greatly enjoyed the last 34 seasons and 17 years as coach of the Jets. I took my fair share of beatings from Rich, Lee, William and Justin for 20 seasons until I learned how to play and win games. This is a great game and I would urge coaches to stick it out and don't give up.

There are some talented coaches in this league now and I hope to keep watching the games on YouTube and listening to the podcast to keep up with you all. If life allows, maybe I can return one day.

With Appreciation to Charlie, Rich and all the coaches past and present. Thank you.

Thomas (NY Jets)

Thomas,

While I don't know you as well as others, we had a few memorable playoffs games and I appreciated your early words of wisdom when I first came into the league; in fact, the first thing I ever did was study your offense and Jerry's defense, both of which have helped tremendously. Wish you the best in your endeavors and if you ever decide to return, we'd all benefit from that. After Rich retired, you certainly set the bar for success in this league with all your championships. Best wishes to you!

Thomas, it's been a pleasure!
And, of course you are welcome back when and if it becomes possible.
I will be happy to relegate the worst coach in the league if need be

I will miss the competition tremendously.

I myself have adjusted my prep for new real life aspects and spend a lot less time each week. If you can handle to lower workload, maybe you can hang around. I only spend an hour or two knocking it out and focus on the family.

Nice playing with you Thomas. Could never figure out how to get over the hump against you. Great combo of game plans and roster building. Good luck on whatever you have going on in the real world!

You aren't done yet. Ha!

It's been fun competiting against each other over these many seasons. You got me more than I got you, but regardless who won, it was always fun.

Good luck!

Not so fast my friend as Lee Corso would say, you're not done yet. I picked you to win this weekend and face Jerry's Redskin in the Super Bowl!

Hope you find success in those ventures you will be dedicating focus to after leaving this world of FBPro98 competition.

I truly enjoyed our playoff rivalries. It's been fun competing against you these many seasons. I might follow you into retirement soon even if it's with just one title.

Win or lose against Pittsburgh this week, you are still the ultimate champions in this era of the league.

Cheers!

I wish you the best Thomas. You were most definitely a difficult coach to go against.
