All of these proposals...

Postby Moxs - Patriots » Wed Jan 22, 2025 10:47 pm

Ok, I like and respect all of my fellow owners in this league. I am very happy to be a part of another resurgence.

BUT, enough is enough. Steve I like and respect you.
All of these proposals... what are they fixing?
What flagrant flaw in league play needs all this?
We are all STILl dealing with season after season of change.
Several of which the effects are still yet to be decided.
Yes, the previous changes were significant and an effort to significantly improve league play.
They are still ongoing.

Enough.
Can we just continue on with GM mode?
Fix our existing ppps, and all try to make the playoffs?
Right now nothing seems to be broken.. why are we doing changes for the sake of change.

All of this has become exhausting.

And a distraction from GM and ppp work.

All part of my evil plan to distract my new divisional opponents. :p

All kidding aside, totally understand. This concern has been raised by others.

Rich and Charlie said they are watching the discussions and will act only on what they are 100% convinced must be done for the good of the game and the league. You can join the conversations or ignore them and simply work on your stuff. Most of it has ran its course already.

I’ll summarize the current state though to make it easy.

The QB run play design proposal is dead. No need to go there.

I think the proposal to reduce RM from 10 to 8 is dead. No need to go there either.

The one thing that is still causing heated debate that the commishes may act on is if PRD passes should be disallowed in 3rd 2-5 or limited even further than that. No idea what will happen at this point.

Other than those proposals. the best discussion to be a part of is the one about defenses because that one is mainly focused on determining if there is a problem we need to act on next season. It’s quickly becoming the best discussion with the most real data being shared.

I can speak on mine. It is simple every time we have a new coach and sometimes even long time coaches. There is a hard time understand and following the profile rules. If you simplify them this can curve that problem.
