I decided to post this up for vote after seeing multiple coaches say this is something they would be open to doing. Neither commish is really troubled by it. Rather than pushing for widespread changes to game plan requirements it makes sense to have us vote on single changes, especially ones we can enact that have no impact on existing game plans we may want to re-use.

A ‘for’ vote means you approve reducing the required number of RM plays in offensive game plans from 10 plays to 8 plays. An ‘against’ vote means you prefer to keep the current 10 play requirement.

If this rule passes it increases the percentage chance of QB runs being called from 20% of the time to 25% of the time when game plans only have 8 RM plays (the 2 max QB run limitation would still be applied.

If this rule passes, it frees up 2 game plan slots. Nothing stops you from continuing to have 10 RM plays or more though. You can use those 2 extra slots for any category you like including RM.

I know we are discussing other game plan requirements but let’s start with this. If we can’t even pass this one it’s doubtful we will ever pass any other ones.

8 RM is plenty. 10 or 12 is overkill. I have NEVER seen all 10 called at least once in a game.

The point isn't that all 10 players are called. It means that there is a 1/10 chance of a play being called vs 1/8 chances. That is a huge differense and a boost to offense. We just had one of the highest scoring season in history of the league. We don't need to be boosting offense.
