Off Season Question

Now that I will have time after Karma bit me, I have a couple of observations for discussion. We had different ideas a couple seasons ago. I was a big proponent on several changes. These ultimately became the current SALCAP. Based on how things have progressed, I now think some of the other opinions were correct and mine wrong. The CAP hasn't created much additional FA movement. I do believe the changes to aging were beneficial, but the cap itself has seemingly ended player trading. The deadline passed last week with little movement. This was noted as a possible outcome by some and it has become reality. We also have had some movement with owners. I know believe we should consider maintaining the point system as it is a soft cap, but a great tool to manage Free Agency, new aging rules, free in season pick ups, and scrap the hard cap. This would hopefully accomplish two things. First, open up trading again and second back off the learning curve to make us more appealing to the few folks we may entice to join the league.
