Okay, so I just ran a sim of PNFL PPP vs. my old stuff. It was ridiculous. Ok. I remember the 96-play editor plays are much better than the 98-editor plays. I think something with changes in the program from 96 to 98. So, which play editor do you guys use? If 96, do you know where I can download it?

The play are so much more effective in 96. I think it is because the play editor screen (field) was changed between those version. I remember talking to a guy that got his dream job at sierra and was working on 98 or worked on 98. Just try it. Make a PPP in 98 and play against your 96 PPP, or should I saw plays.

Is it 96 or the PNFL play design rules versus others?

It's not the play design. The rules are essentially the same. If people still use the 96 editor, there must be a reason. But if everyone is using the 98 then I am wrong. So I am asking. I did find a copy of 96 on Ebay. But I really do want to know what everyone is using.

The '95 play editor is by far the best of all the versions, it's efficient, user-friendly, and intuitive. However, my experience is that most plays designed in '95 do not translate well to '98. '96 is very similar to '95 (but with better graphics) so I'm guessing you will experience the same issues if you use it. You will also have to use a DOS emulator if you use '96. I use DOSBOX for DOS games which works very well, but it's an additional piece of software that you would have to configure. I'm a recent convert to the '98 version of FBPRO and I hate the '98 play editor, but my experience is that it is the only way to design plays that will function well in the PNFL.
