The VPNFL system was created in the late 1990s to be realistic for NFL football 1998-2000. That game has changed a lot since then. OUr TEs are basically blocking TEs, definitely NOT Travis Kelce type TEs.
There are the current ratings we use for TEs:
Current TE ratings ranges More like blocking TEs)
SP AC AG ST HA EN IN DI
60-76 60-86 60-86 70-91 50-90 55-86 50-91 55-90 696 max
fairly typical TE:
75 84 84 90 86 85 89 88 681 total
What if the draft pool included some pass catching TEs that look like this:
Pass Catching
SP AC AG ST HA EN IN DI
65-80 60-86 60-86 60-81 55-95 55-86 50-91 55-90 696 max
fairly typical TE:
80 84 84 80 91 86 89 88 681 total
80 84 84 76 95 86 89 88 681 total
What does everyone think? Would you draft TEs that look like this? Note that they are NOT monster players or outside our current talent model. This still is based on max TE at 696 points and a typical veteran TE around 681 points.
