XFBS Update

I'm not ready to bring it back yet as my personal time is quite limited, but if I did, there would be significant changes to reduce my workload.

1) To be in the XFBS, you will be required to be in the PNFL. If you are not a member of the PNFL, you will not be able to submit custom plays. See #2.
2) I would get rid of the XFBS pool and I would no longer take custom plays. I would submit the entire XFBS pool to Charlie for consideration for addition to the PNFL pool in the next PNFL offseason. Only way you can submit custom plays is as part of normal PNFL play/membership.
3) I would shrink the league to 12 teams most likely. LSU, WYO, IOWA, UCLA, MICH, SYR, TENN would be locks to be 7 among the 12 (if and only if their coaches return).
4) CPU teams would only use PNFL CPU team PPPs (current or past)
5) Our plan and profile rules would slightly differ from the PNFL in that our league will continue to not place any limitation on QB runs, rollouts, and 2-DL play usage to allow for a more collegiate feel.
6) We would be subject to the PNFL's play pool adjustments whenever they happen effective immediately when they happen.
7) We would shift to a point based system for recruitment so it doesn't take 3 months to complete.

It could be a while. Don't get your hopes up.

I think the ideas you outlined make sense and maybe they would allow you to run the league without doing as much work on it as you were before.

I will return as Tennessee if you bring the XFBS back

If you reduce to 12 teams, will you simply have all teams play the other 11 during the regular season and play an 11 game schedule? Or stay with 18 teams and play a 12 game schedule?

I will be providing Charlie the entire XFBS play pool for his consideration for addition to the PNFL play pool. XFBS is unlikely to return as I only had one response, so I’d like to at least help salvage the play pool for PNFL use.

The XFBS is not coming back. It is officially done. Congratulations to the final champions, LSU - Barney McDermott. May he find similar success in the PNFL as well except when he is in my way. Same goes for all the other members of the XFBS. I wish all of you success in the PNFL. Thank you for making the XFBS fun while it had its time. Sorry I can't keep it going.

If you had plays in the XFBS play pool that you liked that you made [only those that you created], please submit them to Charlie if you want them added to the PNFL playpool this offseason. I will do this for UCLA plays and all CPU plays on a case by case basis if and only if the plays were massively successful (let's not flood Charlie please). I will not be submitting any LSU, TENN, WYO, SYR, IA, or MICH plays to Charlie - submission of those plays will be purely up to their creators. If it helps, Charlie prefers PML/PMM/PMR plays at this time. Please make sure any plays you submit to him fully comply with PNFL rules.

Sorry to hear that XFBS is closing for good but I understand given the lack of response to your post. Is there a way you can send, or make available for download, the last update of the XFBS play pool?

For Charlie's peace of mind, he will only accept plays if they were created by the original coach. He won't accept plays that aren't yours. He has the pool too and will be able to check. Once submitted, no further edits too.

Justin created WYO prefixed plays
Shawn created SYR & SY plays
Dean created TN plays
James created MICH & MI & UM plays
Barney created LSU & FBM plays
If Rob ever comes back, he created IA plays

Any UCLA or CPU plays not created by the coaches above can only be submitted to Charlie by me. If you really liked a play and it wasn't yours, contact the coach above or contact me to submit on your behalf. Anything from me will retain its original name.

Keep it sane. Charlie doesn't want a flood. He will cap submissions if you go nuts with it. PM pass offensive plays are currently preferred.
