Re: 2046 Draft Analysis
With a heading of "Avg Talent/Pick", shouldn't a higher score be better?

Re: 2046 Draft Analysis
This is not representative of who had the better draft, filled the most needs or collected the most talent. It seems to simply weigh if you picked a guy rated better/worse than your aligned slot - judged solely by Houston's big board.
Pitt had 5 high picks resulting in easy, no-brainer selections (#1 S, OT, TE, #2 CB and #3 RB on our board) and NYJ's GM always picks well, so these are expected results, but in no universe would anyone believe that NE's solitary pick in the 6th round was a better overall result than Buffalo's 12 picks across every round. Likewise, NYG didn't have the worst draft - they picked up the best QB prospect we've had in about 4 years along with the #1 rated G on many boards. Mitch needs a disclaimer on his super secret system

Re: 2046 Draft Analysis
My last pick was a pure project, experimental pick. But yeah, I'm always going to have the worst drafts according to Mitch's ratings now that I have fully adopted my rating threshold approach. My ratings not only focus on the ratings highlighted in the FBPRO98 manual itself, but are based on an analysis of the max ratings of players at every position in the stock leagues that came with the game. I have a some additional ratings I key on as well by position due to the PNFL ratings and historical experience with the game (e.g., AG for QBs and LBs, IN for DBs). My system also focuses on EN more than Mitch's does. When I attempted to reengineer Rich's salary calculations it became obvious EN matters to that system, so it is part of mine as well. I mainly use it as a multiplier though.

Re: 2046 Draft Analysis
Everyone has their own system for resting the rookies and deciding which players to select when their picks come up. All 18 of us could rate and rank every's draft selections by our own criteria and we would have 18 different draft rankings.

Re: 2046 Draft Analysis
I’d be curious to see more of Mitch’s “top value” or “biggest reach” picks from each round, just for context.
Supposedly Chicago’s 1st round pick was good, and 2nd round pick wasn’t terrible, so drafting must have been really bad in the later rounds, either that or the later rounds were weighted far too heavily…

Obviously, Thomas is the only one who has a true grasp of how to manage a draft. LOL...
