Category Weights:
 With more than five minutes left in the Half, each profile situation must have at least THREE different defensive Play categories with some chance of a Play category being called in each situation. In other words, each category must have a number other than 0 (zero).
 With five minutes or less left in a Half, only two categories are required;
 If the Defense is at or less than their own five yard line (DEF 5), only two categories are required;

D. COACHING PROFILE Enforcement:
Potential profile violations of CPU teams: If you discover a profile violation for a CPU team, please report the situation(s) where it impacted game results to the PNFL Commissioner so he can investigate. The Commissioner will then investigate the violation and determine if a re-sim is warranted. Re-sims will only occur if it “clearly affected the outcome of a game result.” “Clearly affected the outcome of a game result” means the violation resulted in a score, a key first down on a drive leading to a score, or it was used throughout the game for a consistent yardage gain (e.g. used 5 or more times with an average of 10 yards or more). If you lost 31-10 and the potential profile violation was used only once for one big gain late in the 4th, it did not affect the outcome of a game result, so please get over it and move on. If the Commissioner's investigation reveals that the profile violation “Clearly affected the outcome of a game result,” the Commissioner will provide a legal replacement of the CPU profile and the game will then be re-simmed. If it did not affect the outcome of the game, the Commissioner will just fix the profile to ensure it won't affect future results.

o Potential profile violations of owned teams: If you discover a profile violation, please report the situation(s) where it impacted game results to the PNFL Commissioner so he can investigate. Confrontational behavior is not appropriate. The Commissioner will then investigate the violation and determine if a re-sim is warranted. Re-sims will only occur if it “Clearly affected the outcome of a game result.” If it did not affect the outcome of the game, the offending coach will just receive a warning and will be asked to fix it. Repeat offenses of profile violations will meet stiff penalties and are at the ultimate discretion of the Commissioner.
o Additional penalties that will be considered for repeat offenses.

As disseminated by email earlier in the season, below are the new requirements for game plans.

For a definition, “Defend the ('LOS') Line of Scrimmage" means

1. A Defensive Lineman with the logic of Run Rush, Pass Rush, or Read;

2. A Linebacker with the logic of Key on Quarterback, Run Defense, or Blitz (not Read); and

3. A Defensive Back with the logic of Key on Quarterback, Run Defense, or Blitz (not Read).

Goal Line Pass: Defenses must have a minimum of three DLs, all of which must defend the LOS.

Pass Short: New Pass Short plays will require a minimum of two DLs and three LBs. At least one of the two DLs must defend the LOS. As such, one DL is permitted to drop into pass coverage, but in any event, at least three players (DLs, LBs, and/or DBs) must defend the LOS.

Plan Change: No more than 33% of the Pass Short category can be 2-DL defenses.

Pass Medium: New Pass Medium plays will require a minimum of two DLs and two LB. At least one of the two DLs must defend the LOS. As such, one DL is permitted to drop into pass coverage, but in any event, at least three players (DLs, LBs, and/or DBs) must defend the LOS.

Plan Change: No more than 33% of the Pass Medium category can be 2-DL defenses.

Pass Long: New Pass Long plays will require a minimum of two DLs and one LB. Both DLs can drop into pass coverage, but the execution of the play must have at least three players (DLs, LBs, and/or DBs) defending the LOS.

Plan Change: No more than 50% of the Pass Long category can be 2-DL defenses.

Profile Change: You may use Pass Long at any time during the game if the situation is 1st or 2nd down and greater than 10 yards, or on any 3rd down situation, or anytime within the last five minutes of each half.

Pass Dazzle: You must have at least two 2-DLs in the play and at least two players covering the LOS. Both DLs can drop into pass coverage, but the execution of the play must have at least two players (DLs, LBs, and/or DBs) defending the LOS.

Plan Change: No more than 50% of the Pass Dazzle category can be 2-DL defenses.

Profile Change: You may use Pass Razzle Dazzle at any time during the game if the situation is 1st or 2nd down and greater than 10 yards, or on any 3rd down situation except (0-1 yards), or anytime within the last five minutes of each half and in any 4th down situation.
