49ers Record Book

Postby Charlie-49ers » Sat Jun 22, 2024 9:20 am

I am sure this is a record, but Rich must verify!

With 10:18 left in the 3rd quarter and leading 26-10, the 49ers from their 1-yard line attempted a 113-yard Field Goal on 3rd and 13!!!

Coach Rogers stated: "What we had here was a failure to communicate". "With the snow blowing in my face, I did not realize that the play sheet was upside-down"! However, I immediately knew something was wrong when the Kicker ran onto the field and into the end-zone! But it was snowing so hard that I could not get the umpire's attention to call a time-out! So, I crossed my fingers and hoped for a strong gust of wind. Alas, the kick was short!!!

I will be demanding that Coach Rogers be remanded to PNFL sick bay for a series of cognitive tests to be sure he can fulfil his duties as commissioner and coach of the 49ers. While, that series of plays did give the discord audience a big chuckle, my email has been flooded today will calls for him to step down. As one coach said, "this explains why we have hundred of dupes in our play files, the old man has lost it!"

For the full series on video, start around the 21 minute mark to see the record breaking FG attempts followed by a phantom fumble at the goalline. :D

Right after this play caused the safety:

Green Bay's QB1 #6 Malik Willis gives to HB3 #27 Kendre Miller. Miller
fumbles the ball. The ball is recovered by San Francisco's S1 #33 Chauncey
Gardner-John. Gardner-John runs for a short loss. Gardner-John is tackled
by G1 #56 Kyle Hinton. Safety! That was OR58rrTR (7) against WR32PS2M (1).

The SF S recovered the ball. and instead of downing it, he ran for a loss and caused the safety.

If the 49ers S recovers the fumble just over the goal line, why wasn't it first down SF at the one foot? It didn't look like he had time to attempt to advance the fumble and then get tackled for a loss in the end zone.
