I think he was more than willing to re-decorate the house to get traded to a team that will be playing week 17.
Maybe we're going to see a LA vs WAS Super Bowl?

Not so sure about that Week 17 thing. The AFC, especially the West is a mess still. It's still early, but looks like a dog fight coming to me

Everything is a mess
AFC West
3 teams tied for 1st with Minnesota only a game out of 1st and Las Vegas 2 games out but 8 out of the last 9 games are division games.
AFC Playoff
Jets seem to be running away with home field
4 teams are tied for 3 playoff spots. 2 more teams are only a game out with the final 2 teams only 2 games out
NFC Playoff
Seems to have 3 teams running away with the top 3 spots with at least a 2 game lead over the rest of the conference.
The battle for that final spot has has 3 teams tied for that final spot and 2 more teams only a game out. Don't forget about Seattle they are only 2 games out.

Time for a new era in LA. I will likely tag Dak with XF until he is forced to retire, so he will have plenty of time to decorate his home.
Why the sudden move? I could not tolerate a 6 turnover performance by one player under any circumstance. I'll give some credit to the Giants D, but 5 INTs and 1 fumble all on the offensive side of the field tells me something more is going on with Kizer. His throws were WAY off in the game against the Giants. He's been mega-erratic since the Super Bowl and that performance crossed a line. I was interested in Dak in the offseason, and Kizer's disasterous performance motivated me to make a move for him. Will one player be the difference in getting more wins? Hopefully, but Kizer proved one player can be the big difference in causing an ugly loss.
Let's take a look at some numbers.
Lock should never have been cut. He is thriving in Minnesota:
Code: Select all
Passing Att Com Pct Yds Avg Lg TD Int Rtg Sks-Yds
Lock 140 82 58.6 1,147 8.2 74 8 3 95.1 5-18
Tagovailoa 107 60 56.1 780 7.3 77 6 1 94.0 9-50
Here is Dak. Not as great as Lock and Tua yet this season, but not bad at all:
Code: Select all
Passing Att Com Pct Yds Avg Lg TD Int Rtg Sks-Yds
Prescott 242 149 61.6 1,790 7.4 71 9 5 88.0 19-90
And the mess. Kizer's and Herbert's stats have been abysmal compared to Lock, Tua and Dak this season:
Code: Select all
Passing Att Com Pct Yds Avg Lg TD Int Rtg Sks-Yds
Kizer 187 99 52.9 1,246 6.7 46 5 6 69.5 18-84
Herbert 30 13 43.3 125 4.2 39 0 0 55.6 0-0
I'll admit when I'm wrong. Based on these numbers, it's beginning to look like that 92IN 84DI matters more than EN.
Before the Giants game, I was beginning to feel like my QB situation was as bad as UCLA's QB situation in real life. That team is a mess offensively and has been circulating between 3 QBs all season. Hopefully Dak can get provide some stability at QB.

The thing I don’t get, is how KC, who has both Lock and Prescott so highly rated, go to division rivals so cheap.

@Justin - it's not widely known, but Mayfield has been battling hemorrhoids this season. In studying film, 7 of Mayfield's 9 INTs occured during on field hemorrhoid flare ups.
The team doctor has provided some new medication to reduce the inflamation during games.
On the other hand, my defense is causing me to have hemorrhoid because they can't generate any turnovers. 1 INT by the KC defense in 7 games. 1 stinking INT...

Kizer has been a mystery, he has done very well at times and occasionally has had a really bad day. This has been true of Justin Fields, who I basically "fired" in the same fashion after my SB game vs the Chargers. Kizer's only real weakness in his rating is his 90 IN. Yet some QBs (including Fields as a rookie) have done well with 91 IN. Does that ONE point make a difference? I think it does. The key weakness in the ratings for Fields is his 84 EN. That means later kin each half he's playing at something like (assuming falling to 80-% level due to low EN) 65 AG, 77 ST, and 57 HA where he is 81 96 71 at those ratings when he is 100% and takes the field. So when he's at those lowered ratings, he's fumbling more, getting sacked more, throwing erratic passes more, etc. But a 90 IN QB is more likely to do that than a 91 or 92 IN QB. Same with a lower DI QB like Daniel Jones of the Giants, he has thrown some INTs.
Every ratings point matters!
I think Prescott will do well in LA and bring some stability back to the position there. In Atlanta, DiNucci will start at least two more seasons, maybe 3.

Half a season later this thread makes me laugh.
Was Mayfield experiencing symptoms in the Super Bowl?
Will Lock continue his second half surge?
What happened to DiNucci, will he be starting this year?
Where’s Dak headed next?

And NO ONE rides the pine better than Justin Fields...
Will Ben DiNucci start any games this season? Where is he anyway?
While Hendon Hooker is still the starter in Atlanta
