I figured we need a thread where we can simply talk about our teams, our rosters, our draft/FA needs, next season's starters. Kind of a team news wire.

2043 looks promising for LA. The moves I made last season have set me up for a decent offseason that won't require many roster tweaks. We will lose 6 players to retirement and only need to cut 4 to get to 53 players. Interestingly enough, we have 4 draft picks. Players most likely to be let go include veterans LB Avery and WR Callaway as they didn't see the field even once in 2042. We expect to field a highly competitive roster once again in 2043. 95% of the offense returns. QB Kizer will be back for sure. HB Breida will take over for the departing HB Cook and he'll be just as effective. The entire WR corps is back. We have plenty of TEs. Losing G Dawkins to retirement would hurt other teams but we have two 1st round quality young guards and fortunately we failed to trade away G Braden Smith. He will be G2 once again like he was in 2041. Our kicker will have a chance to redeem himself next season for his miserable AFC Championship game performance. The defense will take most of its hit at DB with the retirement of S Jones, CB Awuzie and CB Wilson, but we have three solid young safeties ready to play Losing LB Smith to retirement won't hurt too much because his departure really returns the LB corp to our 2041 talent. We lose none of DL so our pash rush will be back to terrorize the league once again. As for offseason needs, we could bolster ourselves at CB, LB and HB in the draft, but will likely take the best player available. Unlikely to make big moves or pay a king's ransoms this offseason. With the pressure to defend our title now over, the goal is simply to win and get back in and have fun along the way.

This will leave some big shoes to fill in 2043 and is an opportunity for younger guys already on the roster, or a few veteran free agents or trade acquisitions.
