Recent insane obsession with 92IN 84DI QBs

Not sure where this recent obsession is coming from. Coaches seem determined to get QBs with this 92IN 84DI rating combo at all costs and at the expense of other ratings.

Last season I had TWO QBs with that 92IN 84DI rating and they were HORRID. Yeah I was not exactly selecting the ideal pass plays on purpose to get the #1 pick, but you would expect them to at least do decently if those ratings really matter as much as most of you appear to suddenly think they matter. Everyone forgets Rich ruled the league forever with Andrew Luck who didn't even have that perfect 92IN 84DI rating combo everyone seems determined to get this season.

My goal now is to prove I can still win this season with QBs that have lackluster IN & DI and still shut down any passing team that has one of these 92IN 84DI QBs.

I'm a broken record but it's all about coaching.
Scout your opponent
Find plays that work against him
Player ratings matter so you should always try and maximize.
But the coaching is much more important.
That will make your 95-ST 91-IN 83-DI play just fine.

Give me a maxed out QB anyday. They should be few and far between.

Let's look at some empirical data on this question and compare QBs via their QB ratings and their IN-DI skill from this past season, in order their ranking from season stats:

1. Derek Carr 110.6 92 84
2. Sam Darnold 95.5 91 83
3. Baker Mayfield 93.8 91 84
4. Dak Prescott 88.3 92 84
5. Justin Fields 88.3 91 83 92 84 pots
6. Kyle Allen 87.5 92 84
7. Blake Bortles 86.8 92 83
8. Dwayne Haskins 84.5 91 84
9. Joe Burrow 83.9 92 83 92 84 pots
10. Kyler Murray 83.6 92 84
11. Marcus Mariota 81.4 91 83
12. Robert Griffin III 80.8 92 84
13. James Kirk 80.8 92 84
14. Drew Lock 79.8 92 84
15. Mitch Trubisky 77.0 92 83
16. Jameis Winston 76.0 92 84
17. Jared Goff 73.3 91 83
18. Zach Wilson 62.9 91 82 92 83 pots

EIGHT of last season's starters have 92 84 ratings, and FIVE more are just one point away in either IN or DI from being 92 84. FOUR of them are 91 83. The lowest ranked QB is 91 82 as a rookie.

The 92 84 QBs rank 1,4,6,10,12,13,14,16 for an average rank of 9.5
The one off QBs rank 3,7,8,9,15 for an average rank of 8.4
The 91 83 QBs rank 2,5,11,17 for an average rank of 8.75

Other factors not considered here include AG, ST, and EN of the QBs and the game planning and coaching of the GMs working with these QBs not to also mention the RBs, OLs, and receivers on each team.

When in doubt I think most prefer 92 94 or at least 91 83, and may not be sacrificing other ratings to get the IN-DI. 16 f the 18 list above have at least 79 AG and 95 ST, ther other tow only miss that by having 78 AG.

LA is going to have an off-season QB battle between Justin Herbert and DeShone Kizer, both probably 90 83 if Herbert is trained in DI?

In a game based on ratings and attributes for the simulation formulas I'd rather have the highest rating possible to do those equations with.

Can you function without them being maxed? Of course, but I'd rather throw a 3 INT game with a 92-84 than one without and wonder if it was the ratings. Same with kickers, I'd rather miss with a maxed kicker than to miss FG's without max. Do unmax kickers make FG's? of course.

Can you imagine what the NFL would be like with this many intelligent and disciplined QBs?

His 87 EN helps his case if I boost his DI, but currently planning to go with Kizer. I plan on keeping Herbert long term, so I can take my time though.
