Ha! Sorry Moxs, I tried getting #87 but Dean missed my email.
But I do think he fell much further than he should have.
To me the top 4 QBs were very close to each other.

I blame Oakland, for sitting on that pick for how ever many hours. Atrocious!

It took Thomas and I several hours of negotiations to agree to the additional point.

Obviously a convolution between the Jets and the Raiders. Sigh the lengths they will go to to avoid future losses in overtime.

I seriously entertained the idea of drafting Mac Jones at #87 to be the backup for Justin Fields but decided I had more need for the DT, who was a quality 97 ST that dell much further in the draft than he should have.

While I understand you would want Mac Jones to have gone to NE, would it have been any better if he had gone to KC? I guess if I was more Machiavellian about it, rather that just focused on building my roster, I could have drafted Mac Jones and then offered him up for trade.

I offered Moxs a trade to send him Jones prior to the lottery and he rejected it.

Without the boost every QB in this draft was a pass for me. I’m still not convinced QBs matter much. But I’m glad to have Herbert as a Charger. Even as a backup. Must have been too much for NE to make the deal.
