Pre-Season Games

I discussed it with Rich and he has agreed to run some pre-season games!
When a team has a playable roster, they can send Rich an RMUpDate file and their Plans & Profiles files. Rich will match up consecutive submissions with the first team in being the HOME team. For example, the 49ers send in the files, followed by the Redskins, the Seahawks and Patriots. At his leisure, Rich will run the Redskins @ the 49ers, and again, depending on his time, he will run the Patriots @ the Seahawks.
Rich will then post both the video and the Logs for the games played. This will get us in the mood and get in a little practice.

I am willing, either you guys create the matchup or we can do it randomly if you want to see some games.

As a Newbie really not sure (or want to) be involved with a preseason game(s) - unless is mandatory - and the the whole league plays as well. Is my thought.

The Oakland Raiders plan to opt-out of pre-season games. We believe the risk of injury out weighs any positives gained by playing pre-season games.

First, it is not mandatory. It is an opportunity to test some Plans and Profiles against another random team.
Second, there will not be any injuries, except during the game being played. If someone gets hurt during a pre-season game, all you need to do is tell Dr. Rich and he will fix him or them.

It's an exhibition game, no injuries, no ridicule or mocking
If you wanna throw a plan and profile together and test some of those rookies, great.
If not, go to hell
Truth is, we have never done this before.

I know the injuries would not carryover into the regular season. I was just joking around. That said, I'll just prepare as normal. However, I believe all new coaches must be required to send their opponent their PPPs 3 days in advance of their games. Ha!

For coaches new to the PNFL rules and playpool, this is great opportunity to get your feet wet before the season starts. I recommend taking advantage of it and asking Rich and Charlie to take a look at your PPPs for compliance.
For us tenured coaches, sounds like a fun way to try out new offseason plays and see what the rookies can do.

I will have to wait until at least tomorrow before I can put together something.
I need to run the XFBS title game before I update my copy of the PNFL play pool to the latest version.
I'm planning on running the XFBS title game live on Twitch this evening around 6 pm PDT.
https://www.twitch.tv/xfbscommishThis long overdue game was delayed by the Iowa dericho for one of the coaches and my recently chaotic personal life. Should be a good game.
It's between Rob Boysen (Iowa) and Barney McDermott (LSU).
