Yeah Nobody is trading a first for a Max Vet, Max Vet market value over the last few seasons have been 3rd Picks, which is feasible.

Asking a GM to depart with a first round pick for a player that maybe plays 1 season or 2 is over priced and a waste of bandwidth to post.

Because for some reason many value someone to help you 5 years from now instead of now more. If you have a chance to win in the next year or two, it should be more than worth it. You also have no idea what will be available or what you can get with the pick. If you are rebuilding, let the vet pass for a pick. If you can win now and the vet is a superior talent to add to your roster, then the pick should not be an issue. Problem is people value the down the road gamble over the sure value now.........

QB McGloin and Bortles were examples of tomorrow versus now. Any team that had the cap space and a non Top 5 QB on the roster sign have signed them. 0 points and you'd have to risk a guy on the PS who would likely never be more than the last guy in a position rotation. Zero risk for the better vet......

Forgot. If the pick doesn't end up a top 5 pick, it isn't any more valuable than a 2nd anyway talent wise.
