After a 4-12 season, I had the first overall pick in the draft.
I was thinking of drafting Joe Burrow with the first pick. Then I decided to trade down in the draft.
This is who was on my roster for QBs at the end of the 2036 season:
A QB1 6 Patrick Mahomes OK 5 0-0 0 78 78 79 95 69 85 89 83
80 79 80 95 70 86 91 84
A QB2 2 James Kirk OK 6 0-0 0 77 77 78 94 68 86 92 84
78 78 79 95 68 87 92 84
I QB 4 Joshua Dobbs OK 5 0-0 0 77 76 79 95 66 86 91 84
78 78 79 95 68 87 92 84
Kirk and Dobbs had same EXACT pots, that is interesting.
On August 18, 2020 I made this trade (after having traded my 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th round picks to Chicago) with LA:
LA offers:
CB Exum
WR Williams
1st 2037 #10
KC offers:
1st 2037 #1
3rd 2037 #54
Three days later, Steve made this trade:
Chargers send
#1
#28
49ers send
#5
#23
#59
In the draft, Charlie selected QB Joe Burrow with the first pick, that I traded to Steve and he traded to Charlie.

So Yyou are saying you like trading your first round pick and then finishing last in the League?

I used to regret making that trade with Charlie, but I think it provided some great story lines in the league since then. Led to me going with Kizer and you with your love/hate relationship with Fields. Led to Lock going to Minnesota. And now we are both in a good place. You have Burrow and I have Williams probably until they both retire.

I would advise you to re-read what I wrote rather than to read YOUR views into my words, and "hear" a message that I had not communicated.

I think we both have been drafting younger players and reloading since the 20141 Super Bowl. I think both our teams are much younger than 5 seasons ago.

You are right. You didn't say that. But if you don't like doing it why do you keep doing it?

We do a lot of things WE DON'T l LIKE if we believe there is an advantage to doing them.
(I suspect you already know that)
