New York Giants Press Conference

Postby William-Giants » Mon Jan 13, 2020 3:44 pm

It's time guys, after perhaps the most miraculous game I have seen, it's time for me to step down as coach of the New York Giants.
I have coached a long time, 4 seasons with the Jets and then had to step away.
Back with the Giants 22 more seasons, did not see that coming!
Had the pleasure of losing my first 3 SBs, took me 11 seasons to win one!
It's been a great run and my greatest success have come the last 11 seasons.
But I am truly out of gas right now. My team played how I feel the first 3 qtrs on Sunday.
Life has changed a lot in the past few years and I need to focus on other things for now.
I will never say I won't be back but it won't be for a while if ever.
I hope the PNFL plays another 38 seasons!

I want to thank Charlie and Rich for running this great league and keeping it going under all adversity.
I want to thank all the coaches past and present for the fun, competition and trash talk.
There was a time it could get pretty heated and nasty but we survived.
I will be watching from afar and might chime in from time to time and say hello.
But for me and where I am in my life, this ending is perfect.

An honor to be the first to wish you well, sir...
You've been all class as a rival for so long...

Congratulations on going out on a high note, and with your franchise QB and legacy cemented. I wish you all the best in your endeavors.

I will recall your press conferences a bit more fondly than many of our games :D

I wish I could've hung just one 'L' on you in the postseason. At least I was able to deny you 16-0 that one time.

All the best, until we meet again!

William, it is hard to find the words after so many years and seasons. It has been a pleasure, and I wish you the best of luck in developing your personal PPPs for real life events, and that they eventually lead you to a win in your own personal super bowl.

It's taken me 3 days to get over the fact I somehow lost that game.
A foolish 4th & 1 try and then inexplicably the game fails to call a onside return.

But, I want to thank William for the great games and challenges in this league.
I learned a lot from coaching against the Giants as well as many other great teams.
It only took me 21 seasons and about 11 years to get over the hump :D

Thank you William, best of luck and I know we will see you again someday.

Hard to know what to say as others have noted. Good luck in real life, you will be missed.

Now the truth, you know the Skins will have your number with Locker retiring. Leave before the beatings start.

Good luck and make sure to keep up on Facebook with us.

Sad to see you go. I will never forget the NFC Championship game we played my first season. Losing in the last 46 seconds like that still stings. Best of luck to you and your family. May the Lord bless and keep you in your future endeavors.

You had an amazing ride, William! Glad you went out a champ! Luck is still coming for Locker's PoW record. :P

I hate to see you go and really everyone has said everything else already. It has been fun facing you twice a season. Best of luck in life and hope to see you back someday.

Hats off to a Great Legacy, your coaching reminded me it wasn't about digital Luck, was really intriguing to witness the success over the many seasons. Best of Luck in your future endeavors.
