Very interesting. There are 9 wins awarded every week, and 9 losses. It is a fixed number. 144 wins and an equal number of losses during the 16 games of the regular season. It's a zero sum game, so if one teams wins 3 more games this season and improves, someone else's team win 3 fewer games. But everyone taking the poll thinks there team will improve. Eternal optimism I guess, common in the off-season.
Then after week 1 games nine teams will have started the 2043 season 0-1, unless there is a rare tie game.
