PNFL Red Zone Play Calling

Postby Jerry-Redskins » Sun Oct 27, 2024 6:48 am

Lets talk strategy with the current rules versus changing the rules.

This has always been a vexing issue for me on offense. I'm conservative by nature, but I see others like the Jets throwing PML and PMM at high percentages in that part of the field. My OC seems to only call them when I'm on about the 6 or 7 yard line and they go incomplete as the defense cannot be spread out and it is easier to defend. How do you balance the calling to be effective and efficient inside the 35/36 or so of your opponent? I cannot find the right balance. Anyone else struggle and how do you get after it?

If anyone has an answer to Jerry's question, please do not post it until after my game with him this weekend! ;)

Pinging to see if there is any actual discussion to be had on this topic:
