Yes, there are PML and PMM plays that generate those numbers regularly except the TD%. It depends on the style of PPPs your opponent is running.

Right. I think the highest you will see in TD passes is 3-4 percent. Anything that comes close to 8 percent will be quite a bit higher in yards per completion and well below 50 percent completions.

Re: Play design challenge - Short Passing
Latest stats on 2 new plays I'm testing:
AT7ZflyX 55.5% comp 11.9 ypc 2.3% TD 1.7% INT 3.2% sacks
AT8ZflyX 50.6% comp 19.3 ypc 6.4% TD 0.0% INT 5.7% sacks
Closer but still not up to the 50% comp 15+ypc 8% TD, 2% INT less than 12% sacks
I think the 8%
TD will prove not doable against our defenses.

The PMM play looks very promising. The PML isn't worth using IMO. The comp% is too low for the YPR.

Here are the latest numbers:
AT7ZflyX 51.7 14.3 4.6 TD 0.9 INT 4.3 sacks
AT8ZflyX 56.6 14.5 6.5 TD 2.2 INT 5.6 sacks
The PML version has improved but needs to improve a little more. I think the PMM version is about as good as it will get.

Re: Play design challenge - Short Passing
If I configured my profile to minimize PML/PMM on first and second downs between the my 5 and the other team's 35 ands then maximized the usage of PML/PMM between the 35 and the other 5, we would more likely see 8 percent or higher TDs.

Final numbers on those plays:
AT7ZflyX 55.7 17.8 8.2 TD 1.4 INT 2.0 sacks 152.6
AT8ZflyX 54.4 16.1 5.5 TD 0.7 INT 5.4 sacks 135.4
These are some of the best numbers I've seen on new PML/PMM plays.

Re: Play design challenge - Short Passing
Mitch, do you think these plays, going by the numbers, are useful?
AT6XfldA 66.6 11.8 3.7 TD 0.6 INT 2.9 sacks 141.5
AT7XfldA 60.2 11.1 1.1 TD 1.8 INT 4.6 sacks 139.7
AT8XfldA 38.4 15.6 3.1 TD 0.7 INT 6.5 sacks 91.3
The AT6 is good for converting 3rd and 10 on PMR. I think the AT7 version is pretty good for PML. The AT8 version clearly needs more completions.

Re: Play design challenge - Short Passing
AT6 would be a solid possession play on 3rd down. AT7 isn't that impressive for a PML. AT8 isn't good.
